SOJ managed the construction of this transit-oriented, mixed-use development, which is located on a full-block site in Portland's Cultural District. The 140 loft-style rental apartments rest on top of a 47,000 square foot Safeway grocery store, 1,100 square feet of neighborhood retail space, and 220 underground parking spaces. There are 28 units reserved for residents earning less than 50% of Area Median Income, and the remaining units are available at market rates.

The Museum Place Lofts & Townhouses is part of a three-block redevelopment effort that serves as a neighborhood landmark and a catalyst for revitalization. In addition to providing a variety of housing and employment opportunities, this development offers an exciting environment in which to live, shop, dine and take part in community and recreational activities. The other components of this redevelopment project include:

YWCA Downtown Center - Fully renovated building with health and fitness facilities, Loaves & Fishes meal site, community center, social services and transitional housing. This renovation was completed in January 2003.

St. Francis Apartments - 132 mixed-income rental units above ground floor retail. The units accommodate residents earning 30% to 80% of Median Family Income (MFI).This project was completed in January 2003.

Eliot Tower - 220 unit residential condominium project that opened in 2006

Madison Office Condominiums - Small infill project that includes ground floor retail and four floors of offices for sale. The project was completed in 2006

SOJ served as project manager for the YWCA renovation, St. Francis Apartments, Museum Place Lofts & Townhouses and Madison Office Condominiums projects. Carroll Investments, LLC developed the Eliot Tower.
